Peter Ainsworth. A Series of Activities Completed in Edge Spaces, 2008
Peter Ainsworth worked with a group of six leeds based participants on the cultivation of edge spaces in Leeds on 17 -18 May 2008. Ainsworth worked with his team cultivating three sites in Leeds over the duration of two days.
The project currently being developed as part of the Pavilion Commissions Programme 2008 is concerned with edge spaces, sites that are often encountered in the everyday navigation of the city. They appear to possess no specific designation, proprietor or use.
Ainsworth's process of working involves creating a series of interventions within these sites, drawing people, ideas and activities together to develop, shape and cultivate the urban landscape. This process is recorded photographically, forming a visual document of the activity that has taken place.
