Tessa Bunney
Tessa Bunney has a particular interest in different
landscapes, exploring the way that they are shaped by human activity.
Working closely with communities
and individuals, Tessa’s work investigates human relationships to
the landscape.
During the last decade Vietnam has undergone rapid national economic
growth with many of its craft villages increasing production five fold
through small-scale industrial development. As Vietnam moves towards urbanisation
the country’s
agricultural labour force faces the prospect of losing its land and its
way of life to urban projects. The consequence of this shift is increased
waste and environmental pollution. Home Work explores the current
role of the craft village as a meeting point between rural and urban,
agriculture and industry
in the suburbs and villages around the capital city of Hanoi.
