Pavilion Appoints New Director

Pavilion is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Director

Pavilion has appointed Anna Reid as its new Director, following the departure of Debra Klomp who is relocating to New York.

Anna Reid joins Pavilion after two years as Manager of The Art House in Wakefield, where she has produced a wide range of projects including Space For 10 with UK artists and Incident/Incydenty with partners in Poland and the Czech Republic. Previous roles have seen Anna work in London with Connaught Brown, Davies & Tooth, Art & Photographs and Talamasca Productions. She will take up the full-time post from 17 July 2006 and will continue the strategic and creative development of the Leeds-based regional company, which specialises in the development and promotion of contemporary photography.

She was awarded an MA in Intellectual Revolution – Postmodernism from the Courtauld Institute of Art and a BA (Hons) in the History of Art from St. John’s College, University of Cambridge, including a year of study at the Arts Plastiques  at the Université d’Aix-Marseilles, France.

Of the appointment, Pavilion’s Chair, Cllr Judith Blake says "I am delighted on behalf of Pavilion's Board to welcome Anna to her new post. Pavilion is at a very exciting stage in its development and Anna will be well placed to move the organisation forward - putting Pavilion and Leeds at the forefront of cutting edge contemporary work in the field."
