Deep Clean, 11 October 2016

From the attentive gestures of an Aboriginal daughter nursing her dying adoptive mother, to the content moderators tasked with scrubbing photos of Osama bin Laden from search engines, this screening explores the politics and representation of cleaning and caring. Films selected by Amy Charlesworth (Open University) and Gill Park (Pavilion) in association with the exhibition 2001 (22 September-Friday 21 October), which forms part of Leeds College of Art’s 170th anniversary exhibitions programme.
