The Problem of Perspective: Leeds, 25 March 2017

Pavilion presents an afternoon of films and videos to draw together The Problem of Perspective, a project conceived as a way of illuminating a distinctly northern perspective on the history of alternative and artists’ moving image in England. The afternoon will survey a rich array of production strategies deployed by video artists and filmmakers across the north from the ‘60s to the ’90s. The screening will include work by Anna Bowman, Kevin Atherton, Stuart Marshall, Brian Hoey and Wendy Brown, Ian Breakwell, Jackie Jones, Peter Samson, Tony Hill, Leeds Animation Workshop, Sutapa Biswas, Nick Cope, Patrick Keiller, George Shaw, Steve Hawley, Janey Walklin and more.
