Les Rencontres Arles Photographie
The 39th Rencontres D'Arles takes place in July is curated and directed by fashion designer Christian Lacroix.
The 2008 edition will revolve around themes of 'presence, appearance, disappearance, the body and the envelope'. The festival will feature exhibitions by; Richard Avedon, Henri Roger, Gregoire Korganow, Joachim Schmid and British photographer Tim Walker amongst many others.
A series of evening projections, panel discussion, and folio reviews will take place in Arles during the opening week. The festival opens 3 July - 14 September 2008. Read More

This exhibition brings together works spanning twenty-five years that convey a compelling sense of both the ordinary and the bizarre in British life. This major exhibition is the first survey show by Anna Fox, one of the most significant photographers to emerge from the new wave of British colour documentary of the 1980s. Shezad Dawood: Feature - Archaeology
Feature – Architecture, Archaeology and Image is a collaborative project by Castlefield Gallery, Leeds Met Gallery, Eastside Projects, and publishers Book Works. Bonfires: John Duncan
Bonfires, produced over three years, documents a long-standing tradition of bonfire building by Protestant communities in Belfast. Duncan’s photographs frame and measure the structures against their various social settings, revealing both a sense of Belfast’s changing urban landscape and the deep divisions that, despite political progress, still affect Northern Ireland long after the ceasefires.
