Hang: Workshops
Many photographers are talented but fewer are equipped with what it takes to get their work into galleries. If you’re ready to get serious about exhibiting, this course of workshops is for you. Redeye are looking for a group of up to 12 photographers to take part in a course of workshops starting in October 2008, and culminating in a group exhibition in the Studio at Impressions Gallery, and on the BBC Big Screen, Bradford, in mid 2009. RNID - Photo Competition for Deaf Awareness Week
RNID, the charity for deaf and hard of hearing people, has announced a photo competition in association with Deaf Awareness Week. The competition challenges photographers to imagine a world without sound and capture original, thought-provoking images of the sound they would most miss.

Jerwood Photography Awards
The awards are open to UK-based artists who work with the medium of photography and who have graduated from visual art degree courses in the UK within the past three years. There is no age limit. Deadline: 11 August 2008. Read More
Terry O'Neill Award 2008
Submissions are now being invited for the Terry O'Neill Award.
Submissions of between 3 and 6 images is asked for, falling into criteria of reportage, documentary, creative, fashion, wildlife, landscape, portraiture, or fine art photography.
The judges will be seeking dynamic and arresting images which portray a compelling narrative. The 1st Prize £3,000, 2nd Prize £1,000 and the 3rd Prize £500. Deadline 10 September 2008. Read More
