Intermix04 Autumn: 3-5 November 2004 >>
In partnership with Leeds International Film Festival and funded by Screen Yorkshire.
Intermix is Pavilion’s annual programme of contemporary artists’ film and video; a platform upon which new and established talent is showcased side by side.

Still from 'Present Absence' by Patricia Townsend
Intermix04 autumn programme launched on 2 November 2004 with David Leister’s renowned Kino Club. An astounding one-man cinema cabaret, David Leister played host, projectionist and performer, accompanied by live improvisational music. Kino Club was in Leeds for one night, by popular demand following Leister’s screenings at the Intermix04 spring programme, earlier in the year.
For the third year running Pavilion, in partnership with the Leeds International Film Festival, presented a cutting-edge programme of artists’ film and video. Pavilion screened a looped selection from seventy submissions by emerging and established practitioners, showcasing work that responded to the concept of 'Human Presence'.
Intermix04 also featured new work from Studio12, the flagship initiative of Pavilion and Leeds Libraries, in partnership with the Leeds Equal e-Employability Development Partnership and Leeds City Council's Jobs and Skills Service. The young people at Studio12 interpreted a brief set by Pavilion and examined their city and its impact on the inhabitants.
