Pavilion Professional Development Bursaries : May - August 2005 >>
The Pavilion Professional Development Bursaries were funded by the Arts Council decibel legacy programme.
Pavilion worked with two artists Bukkie Opebiyi and Paul Floyd Blake, to support the development of their professional portfolios. A key objective of the bursaries was to enable the selected photographers to market themselves and their work to the highest possible standard.

Both photographers were assisted in constructing their respective portfolios by Peter Max Kandhola. Max is a published photographer and has a successful track record in gaining commissions, exhibitions and sponsorship on an international level.
A period of mentoring was given by Max, which culminated in both photographers presenting their portfolios to reviewers at the Rhubarb-Rhubarb Festival in August 2005.
The bursary programme equipped both Bukkie and Paul to progress their respective practices.
